It is important to establish a culture within the school that recognizes the value of data-driven decision making and is prepared to do the staff development required for; a) using alternative teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students; b) clarifying the school’s expectations and beliefs; and, c) beginning to use data on student performance as the primary guide for school planning and policy-making.
